We all love a good friendly competition every now and then, but what makes it even better is when the money raised is going to a charity. After the overwhelming success of the first year, Howl Splitsville, Foxbrough’s premier live music bar and luxury bowling alley, will host the second annual “Bowl a Strike Against Muscular Dystrophy” on Sunday, May 21st organized by the Foxborough Firefighters Local 2252.
This friendly competition is between local public safety departments and all the money raised at the event will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), which have a partnership with the International Association of Firefighters. This partnership has created many opportunities to help support children and their families with muscle disease.
MDA is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neuromuscular diseases.
It’s time for the firefighters to put away their boots for bowling shoes for a fun filled day with bowling, raffle prizes, food and memories all while raising money for a great cause! Both Splitsville employees and Foxborough Firefighters are looking forward to the turnout on Sunday especially after last year.
This year, the firefighters will be bowling to beat the $19,000 raised last year for the MDA which was the highest the Foxborough firefighters have ever raised. Win or lose in the bowling tournament, everybody wins in the end by helping out for a great cause.
