Howl at the Moon not only has 14 locations across the United States, we also have also made our way onboard three of Norwegian Cruise Line’s ships! Our dueling piano players have a blast rockin’ and rollin’ the seas. However, one Howl at the Moon entertainer has taken this opportunity to do more than just rock n roll.
Pianist Michael Johnson made Howl at the Moon proud by organizing a trip to an orphanage in St. Marteen called the I Can Foundation. The I Can Foundation is a foster home that offers living accommodations to children who have been victims of neglect, abuse, or other social issues. Michael along with 12 other crew members including three youth staff, two photographers, entertainers, magicians and the Human Resources Director visited the I Can Foundation to bring a smile to the children who live there. Michael gave the kids at the I Can Foundation a taste of the Howl at the Moon show and gave them the chance to sing along, dance, and get silly. The magicians did a show for them with activities such as swallowing balloons, spoon bending and card tricks. Michael and the Getaway crew also came with some great donations including a puppet theatre, jewelry boxes to paint, hula hoops, hats and sunglasses.
Michael and the Getaway crew hope to remain involved in this orphanage because the facility is in need of repairs, proper beds, food and a proper playground facility for the children. We encourage you to make a donation to the I Can Foundation by visiting their website and following their donation instructions.
