There is a caravan of party-goers shuffling towards downtown and they are all wearing headphones.
This Labor Day weekend, Howl at the Moon and Merkaba are teaming up with Texas Silent Disco to present: Neon Nights and Silent Disco 8; bringing Texas’ largest Silent Disco to downtown San Antonio. With over 50 DJs + Live Performances on 3 stages, it is guaranteed to be a long weekend full of music, dancing, street food and good vibes for visitors and locals of our beloved Alamo City.
Neon Nights Headlined by Silent Disco 8
Beginning the morning of Sunday, September 5th, crews will commence transforming W. Crockett St. into the scene that will become Silent Disco 8. A 30- foot stage will be constructed to host 3 DJ booths and a full array of LED displays and visual effects. Gates open to the public at 5 PM with tickets available to purchase for $10 in advance or $20 at the gate. Each ticket includes headphone rental and entry to Silent Disco 8. Each pair of headphones has 3 channels for the wearer to select between one of the 3 DJs spinning concurrently. All the while each DJ will be battling for the crowd’s affection because each pair of headphones is lit up with a color that coordinates with that DJ’s booth.
Next to the stage will feature a full bar with specialty cocktails and cold beer to quench the thirstiest of thirst buds. When party-goers get hungry, Alamo Hot Dog and Tacos Los Hermanos will offer street food convenience to feed the masses. Additionally, volunteers from Heroes Sports will be on hand, passing out glow necklaces and bracelets. Stop by their booth to learn more about their cause, and how they are helping veterans with the transition to civilian life through recreational sports.
