With wedding season in high gear, one must take a second to review past public humiliations of their dance moves and learn from their mistakes. Whether you tripped over grandma during the macarena, or split your pants during the electric slide, you know it’s time to polish your moves, buddy.
Howl at the Moon to the rescue. We’ve compiled a list of the top 5 songs you can expect to hear at weddings as well as at the dueling piano bar that rocks!
5. Jump On It – Sir Mix a Lot
Carlton and his flash mob NAIL “Jump On It” by Sir Mix-A-Lot (aka – “Apache” by Sugar Hill Gang) as well as a little shimmy to Tom Jone’s “It’s Not Unusual”. Come on pussycat – jump on it!
4. Electric Slide.
The Electric Slide. Ever heard of it? If not, you probably should get out more. We guarantee you’ll be scooted onto the dance floor by Uncle Rico to this retro jam.
3. Cha Cha Slide
Not to be outdone by the Electric Slide, the CHA CHA Slide comes in as Howl at the Moon’s #3 song you wish would go away but won’t! You might need a bucket of booze before going out on the floor for this one.
2. Cupid Shuffle – Cupid
One of the newer group dances, The Cupid Shuffle, is simple yet satisfying. Plus, it’s a great way to get Grandma to two step!
1. Shout – Otis Day
Ohh yeah! You know you’re gonna end the night to this one (if you haven’t already passed out by now). You should hear this one on dueling pianos!
