Your best friend is getting married and you have just been asked to be the Maid of Honor, now what? The list of to-do’s can be overwhelming—it’s hard to know where to start. Here at Howl at the Moon Denver, we always start with the most fun duty: the bachelorette party!
Here are a few tips we have to create a bachelorette party your friends will be talking about for years to come:
1. Plan Ahead
Send out invites, create a budget, and get a final headcount before you begin calling around. You never want to be that last-minute bridesmaid that is calling everywhere you can, trying to find available space vs. the best package. At our downtown Denver live music bar, we have many package options ranging from all-night tables to Jump the Line for the bar-hopping bachelorettes!
2. Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown
With schedules and budgets, a week-long getaway for your bachelorette is less-than-likely. Good news is that you don’t need a trip to Vegas to still feel like you’re getting away! Plan a night out in your city, book a swanky hotel, and act like a tourist right at home. Don’t forget to ask us what hotels we’re partnering with for a discount on your next room!
3. Create a Theme
Is your bride a huge Kevin Bacon fan, and leg warmers are a staple of her wardrobe? Grab those shoulder pads and the nearest crimper and make it an 80’s night out! Maybe your bride is the last one of you to get married? Get the party to dust off those old wedding dresses to dance the night away.
4. Take Hilarious Photos
A Photo Scavenger Hunt is a creative way to take more than the standard group photo. Start with finding a single guy to buy your bride a drink, and end with a photo up on stage. As more drinks are bought, the more hilarious the ideas are. And those photos will be the best ones to look back on years down the road.
5. Start (Or Continue) a Tradition
Traditions are a fun way to continue celebrating within your group from wedding to wedding. Try decorating a memory book with photos and stories of how each person in the party met. Give each party-goer a page of the scrapbook ahead of time, and let them get creative. Let everyone bring their pages the night-of and have a ball reminiscing!
6. Make a Playlist of Songs You Want to Hear
It’s the best feeling when you hear a song years after a fun night and you’re immediately transported back. Create a CD of fun songs that the bride loves to get ready to, and be prepared to request those exact songs at Howl at the Moon when you get here!
7. Book Your Night Out at Howl at the Moon!
