Howl at the Moon loves coming up with fabulous cocktails to serve and indulge in (it is in our nature), so we have put together our top 5 PINK picks in honor of the upcoming National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
1. Cosmopolitan (an oldie but a goodie!)
1-1/4 oz. Smirnoff Vodka
1 oz. cranberry juice
1/4 oz. triple sec
1 lemon twist
* In a shaker with ice, add Smirnoff Vodka, cranberry juice and triple sec. Shake and pour into martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist. Source – finecooking.com
2. Pink Grapefruit Margarita
1 cup ruby red grapefruit juice
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (4 limes)
1 cup orange liqueur (such as Triple Sec)
2 cups ice
1 cup white tequila
* This recipe makes 4 drinks: Combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, triple sec and ice in a blender. Pour into a large pitcher (or keep in blender) and pour in the tequila, stir. To rim the glasses, take a lime wedge and rim, then dip in salt. Make sure to use Ruby Red grapefruit juice for a much sweeter and pinker drink! Source – theregoesthecupcake.com
3. Ever After
1 1/2 oz. Exclusiv Vodka
1/2 oz. raspberry liqueur
1/2 oz. simple syrup
5 rose petals
Champagne
* Shake Vodka, raspberry liqueur with ice in a cocktail shaker. Add simple syrup and shake some more. Strain into glass. Top with champagne and rose petals. Source – yourengagement101.com
4. Pink Passion
2 oz. Peach Schnapps
2 oz. Tequila Rose
2 splashes of cranberry juice
1 splash of lemon-lime soda
* Pour all ingredients except soda into shaker, shake, and pour into a glass. Top with lemon-lime soda and garnish with a lemon twist. Source – cosmopolitan.com
2 1/4 parts gin
3/4 parts raspberry syrup
3/4 parts lemon juice
1 part egg white
*Fill up the shaker with ice cubes. Add raspberry syrup lemon juice, gin, egg white to the shaker. Shake well and strain into the cocktail glass. Source-cocktaiflow.com.
